WOMEN’S TENNIS GRABS FIFTH IN PRESEASON POLLS
The New England Collegiate Conference announced its women’s tennis preseason polls on Thursday night and the Regis College Pride was selected to finish fifth, it was announced by the conference office. All voting was conducted amongst the league’s head coaches.
WESTON, Mass. – The New England Collegiate Conference announced its women’s tennis preseason polls on Thursday night and the Regis College Pride was selected to finish fifth, it was announced by the conference office. All voting was conducted amongst the league’s head coaches.
The Pride returns three starters from a year ago in Mary Jane Barron (Whitinsville, Mass.), Paige Pasely (Dorchester, Mass.), and Maryse Emungu (South Burlington, Vt.). The Cardinal and Gold will add depth with some top newcomers for 2011, welcoming four freshmen to the squad including Kendall Kolb (Plymouth, Mass.), Erika Palmer (Southborough, Mass.), Deidre Botsch (Foxboro, Mass.) and Vennyra Chum (Lowell, Mass.) all looking to secure a spot in the Pride’s starting lineup.
The Pride opens up play this Saturday with a road match against Mount Ida College at 12:00 p.m.
