Bio
Chris Ridolfi enters his first season as head coach of the men’s and women's volleyball programs. Bringing over 13 years of NCAA volleyball coaching experience to the Pride family, Ridolfi takes over a women's program that has reached conference postseason play in back-to-back seasons, and a men’s program entering its second year of varsity competition.
Ridolfi began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at Boston College and Harvard University. In 2001 Ridolfi was named head women’s volleyball coach at Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. He holds coaching career highs for most Patriot League victories and highest conference win percentage since Holy Cross joined the Patriot League in 1990. Ridolfi’s teams also enjoyed great success in the classroom. In his six seasons he coached 36 Patriot League Honor Roll student-athletes, as well as, three conference All-Scholastic winners.
In 2004 Ridolfi was hired as Head Men’s Volleyball Coach at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a role he held while continuing his coaching duties at Holy Cross. In three years at Harvard, Ridolfi compiled a 35-25 record, and won the 2005 Sweeney Division Championship.
In 1986 Ridolfi pioneered the boy’s volleyball program at Milford High School. He later returned to coach the program he helped begin, leading the team to an undefeated season in 1999 and a trip to the Massachusetts state finals. He was named the 1999 Boston Globe and Boston Herald Coach of the Year.
Ridolfi studied music at Berklee College of Music from 1989 to 1993. He resides in Milford with his wife Stephanie and daughter Emma.
