ELMIRA COLLEGE ELIMINATES REGIS IN THREE GAMES

Weston, Mass.-With an early two game lead over the Pride, Elmira College strategically eliminated Regis College from contention in game three. Elmira College (12-9, 2-2 Empire 8) quickly dismantled Regis College (11-14, 3-5 TCCC) 3-0 Saturday.

Led by junior Janice Embury (Perry, NH) with a continuous offensive attack in game one, an attack that Regis could not recover from, losing to the Soaring Eagles 25-10.

Freshman Brittany Raykoske (Gloversville, NY) would also contribute to the Soaring Eagles dominant play in game two, easily defeating the Pride 25-15. Elmira College capitalized on the Pride's mistakes, as well as displayed poise in its own attacks against Regis College.

Regis attempted to keep game three within reason early, going point-for-point through the first seven attempts, but would lose 25-13 on a Regis College error.

Elmira College will compete against Manhattanville College at noon. Regis College will compete against Manhattanville College at 2pm.
