The Pilgrims would not take a lead during the game. Regis College (7-8, 1-3 TCCC) was led by sophomore Derrick Neal (Boston, Mass.) with a career-high 30 points. Neal shot an impressive 50 percent (11-of-22) from the floor.
Neal, the teams leading three-point scorer finished with 18 points from behind the line. Regis College scored 20 points from its bench to New England's 18. The Pride would have 11 different players score during the game.
New England (2-13, 0-4 TCCC) was led by Rafael Salado (Boston, Mass.) with 16 points in 32 minutes. Salado shot 75 percent (3-of-4) from the free throw line.
Jamie Davies (Plymouth, UK) would contribute 10 points for the Pilgrims. Davies shot 80 percent (4-of-5) from the floor, and better than 50 percent from both the three-point and free throw line.
As a team, Regis out rebounded New England 47-32. The Pride would also connect on 35 percent of its three-point attempts to New England's 23 percent.
Regis College will head to Eastern Nazarene College Saturday, Jan. 24. New England will also compete in conference play when the Pilgrims take on Roger Williams University.
