Weston, Mass.Phil Alibrandi (York, Maine) had a career night posting 34 points and 17 rebounds as he led Regis College (10-15, 6-7 TCCC) to a 101-96 double overtime victory over Anna Maria College (11-14, 6-7 TCCC) Saturday night.

Alibrandi was 9-of-15 (.600) from the floor and 16-of-19 (.842) from the free-throw line in his 45 minutes for the Pride. Alibrandi has averaged 14.7 points per game, +4.1 PPG overall.
Nine total players tallied double-figures in Saturday’s match-up. Freshman Anthony Click (Springfield, Mass.) finished with a team-high 23 points for Anna Maria. He was 6-of-10 (.600) from the field and 11-of-15 (.733) from the free-throw line.
Teammate Junior De La Hoz (Lawrence, Mass.) added 20 points in 43 minutes of play. Anna Maria’s Derek Johnson (Worcester, Mass.), Chris Pinsonault (Marlboro, Mass.), and Rafael Candelario (Lawrence, Mass.) finished with 16, 13, and 12 points respectively.
Johnson had the AMCats only double-double, grabbing 11 rebounds in 40 minutes. He was 6-of-9 (.667) from the field, and 4-of-6 (.667) from the free-throw line.
Candelario was clutch from behind the arc, making 50 percent of his attempts (3-of-6).
Regis senior James Cooper (Philadelphia, Pa.) finished with 25 points and 10 assists for the Pride. Cooper was two rebounds short of a triple-double, finishing with eight rebounds.
He was 9-of-14 (.643) from the field, and 6-of-10 (.600) from the free-throw line. Teammate Derrick Neal (Boston, Mass.) added 21 points, making 57 percent of his three point attempts (4-of-7) for the game.
Jimmy Irmiter (Chicago, Ill.) contributed 13 points. As a team Regis shot better than 50 percent from the field. Neither team was exceptional from the three-point line. Anna Maria was 9-of-30 (.300); Regis was slightly better making 8-of-20 (.400).
Anna Maria held the lead for 16:47 in second half until a three-pointer by Irmiter gave Regis a one-point lead. The AMCats regained the lead at 2:47, and held at most a three-point lead until Alibrandi tied the score for the tenth time with 40 seconds remaining.
Regis outscored Anna Maria by a combined 26-21
score in its extra periods. The loss for Anna Maria took away its
hopeful TCCC quarterfinal appearance.
