JEFFRIE PARRISH NAMED TCCC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

WESTON, Mass.—Freshman Jeffrie Parrish (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performances in the first week of games played by Regis College (2-1). The announcement was made via e-mail by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

PRIDE FALL TO SCOTS 0-9

Weston, Mass.--- Regis College women’s tennis team fell to Gordon College 0-9 Tuesday (Sept. 7) at the Regis College Athletic Fields. Highlights for the Pride included doubles partners Kunjan Patel (Waltham, Mass./Waltham) and Maryse Emungu (South Burlington, Vt./Rice Memorial) coming back from a 5-0 deficit to lose their pro set 8-3.

REGIS COLLEGE FALLS TO LIONS IN MIDDAY MATCH-UP

WESTON, Mass.—Three different Emerson (1-0) players tallied goals Monday afternoon to defeat Regis College (2-1) 3-0. The Lions Mike Giles (Wakefield, R.I./South Kingston) scored the first goal unassisted at 30:40. Teammates Dave Castano (Long Beach, N.J.) and Jacob Lawrence (Clifton, Va./Centerfield) marked the second and third goals respectively.
