Regis Controls the Pool in Wins Over Simmons and Elms
BOSTON, Mass. — The Regis women's swim and dive team continued its successful weekend at Simmons on Saturday afternoon, defeating the host Sharks, 142–129, and the Elms College Blazers, 169–80.
Inside the Numbers
- The Pride dominated the 50-yard backstroke, sweeping the top three spots. Emma Tirri led the way with a time of 34.96, followed by Kaylee King (38.55) and Jesmari Perdicho (44.07). Tirri also claimed first place in the 100 backstroke, touching the wall in 1:13.84.
- Sophia Caruso captured the top spot in the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.25, continuing her streak as the Pride's leader in the event at every meet this season. Amayah Santana recorded a personal best in the same event, finishing in 40.93.
- Caruso added another victory in the 100 freestyle, winning in 55.77 and finishing more than two seconds ahead of the runner-up. Alex Sochat and Perdicho each turned in personal-best performances in the event, posting times of 1:10.13 and 1:29.40, respectively.
- Ava Hubster earned runner-up finishes in both the 50 butterfly (32.77) and the individual medley (1:15.46), while Sophia Nylin placed second in the 100 breaststroke.
- On the diving boards, Christina Dupre-Honda took first place in the one-meter, 11-dive event with a score of 227.55. She later closed the meet by claiming the top spot on the three-meter board in the six-dive program, scoring 161.80.
- The Pride's victory over Simmons marked the first over the Sharks under the leadership of head coach Diana Matthews.

The Pride will make the short trip to Brandeis University next Saturday, January 31st for their final meet before the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships.
