Pride Compete at Bridgewater State Invitational
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — The Regis men's track and field team spent Friday competing at the Bridgewater State University Bears Invitational in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
Inside the Numbers
- In the high jump, Brady Elliott led the way with a sixth-place finish, clearing 1.75 meters, while Joseph Doughty followed in 10th at 1.70 meters. In his first time competing in the javelin, Elliott also paced the Pride, placing 12th with a throw of 32.26 meters, just ahead of Alden Welch-Tyree, who recorded a mark of 32.14 meters.
- In the throwing events, Ed Power led the way in the shot put with a ninth-place finish at 35.20 meters, while Bryan Abreu narrowly missed the top 10, placing 11th with a throw of 11.91 meters.
- On the track, the 4x100 relay team of DJ Marks, Michael Hatch, Zach Olayiwole, and Brady Elliott turned in a time of 46.35. Brian LaPorte added a 10th-place finish in the 800 meters with a personal best time of 2:07.97, while Elliott also competed in the 200 meters, posting a time of 24.60.

The Pride will send a small group to MIT tomorrow for the Sean Collier Invitational, while Riley Stogsdill will travel to American International College to compete in the steeplechase.
