Field Hockey Falls to Saint Joseph (Conn.), 3-1
WESTON, Mass -- On October 11, 2025, Saint Joseph (Conn.) played against the Pride at Regis Stadium, securing a 3-1 victory in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) field hockey matchup.
For the Pride, graduate student Anna Miele-DeFelice (Framingham, Mass.) tallied their lone goal in the contest.
How it Happened
The match started with an early lead for the Blue Jays when Juliana Meglio found the back of the net at the seven minute mark in the first period, assisted by Grace Kociszewski. This scoreline wouldnt hold for long as the Pride managed to level the score in the second period with a goal by Anna Miele-DeFelice, assisted by Gabrielle Tolman, 13 minutes into the second quarter.
About a minute later, Regis goalie Allana Martone (Elkridge, Md.)) would be called on to make an acrobatic diving save, however, Grace Kociszewski would follow up and put away the rebound, with an assist from Aurelia Barker, that restored Saint Joseph's lead. The half would end in the Blue Jays favor 2-1.
Alyssa Milligan extended the lead for Saint Joseph (Conn.) in the third period, scoring her first goal of the season about 10 minutes into the third quarter, again with an assist from Aurelia Barker. Despite Regis' efforts, they were unable to penetrate Saint Joseph's defense in the remaining time.
