Charest Leads Women's Cross Country at Cadet Classic

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Regis College women's cross country joined five other Great Northeast Athletic Conference programs this afternoon at the Norwich Cadet Classic. The Pride placed fourth overall with a team score of 121, finishing ahead of American International and conference foe, Dean College.

Jonnie Charest (Methuen, Mass.) led the way for Regis, securing 18th place with a time of 27:49.30. She was followed by Lindsey Ferris (Fairfax, Vt.), who crossed in 31:01.80.

Jenna Lynch (Mattapoisett, Mass.) recorded a personal best in the 6k, clocking 39:33.50, while Zoe Kirk (Dover, N.H.) was just stpes behind (39:35.40)in her collegiate debut.

They return to competition in two weeks on Saturday, October 18, at the Coach Dann Runnin' Monks Cross Country Challenge, hosted by Saint Joseph's College (Maine).
