WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL EARNS NINE FIRST PLACE VOTES IN PRESEASON POLL
The defending conference champion Regis College women’s volleyball team was unanimously selected to finish first in the New England Collegiate Conference according to the 2015 NECC Women’s Volleyball Coaches Poll. The Pride received 81 points and nine first places votes in a poll conducted by league head coaches.
WESTON, Mass. – The defending conference champion Regis College women's volleyball team was unanimously selected to finish first in the New England Collegiate Conference according to the 2015 NECC Women's Volleyball Coaches Poll. The Pride received 81 points and nine first places votes in a poll conducted by league head coaches.
The Pride are coming off a historic season as they achieved their best record in program history at 24-9 while also going undefeated (8-0) in conference play. The squad earned their first ever conference championship and hope to return to the NECC Championship Game for the fourth straight season.
Regis is returning nine players from last season's championship team including All-NECC selections Graciella Molinari (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.), Nicole Connolly (San Mateo, Calif.) and Crystina Lathrop (Houston, Texas).
Rounding out the preseason polls are Newbury, Lesley, Daniel Webster, Becker, Mitchell, Elms, Southern Vermont and Bay Path.
