DATES ANNOUNCED AS PRIDE BEGIN TITLE DEFENSE
Head coach John Ciarleglio is proud to announce the 2015 schedule for the defending New England Collegiate Conference Women’s Tennis Champions the Regis College Pride.
WESTON, Mass. – Head coach John Ciarleglio is proud to announce the 2015 schedule for the defending New England Collegiate Conference Women's Tennis Champions the Regis College Pride.
The Pride are coming off their third straight NECC Championship and are hoping to return to the NECC Championship game for a shot at a fourth straight conference title.
Regis will compete against two non-conference teams at the beginning of the season then turn their focus to conference rivals. The Crimson and Gold have won 26 straight conference contests dating back to October 1,, 2012.
The women open up the 2015-16 campaign on the road with a non-conference match. The season opener takes place at Eastern Nazarene on Thursday, September 3rd at 3:30 p.m. After a week layoff, the Pride return to Weston and wrap up their non-conference schedule with a date against Johnson & Wales on September 10th at 4:30 p.m.
Two days later, the Crimson and Gold head out for a quick two game road swing. First stop is in Cambridge for their first conference match of the season against the Lesley Lynx at 5:00 p.m. Three days later on September 15th they head to Bay Path for a 3:30 p.m. match
Regis returns home for a lengthy home stand of five games. The Pride welcome conference rival Newbury to campus on Saturday, September 19th for a 1:00 p.m. showdown with the Nighthawks. On Wednesday the 23rd, Mitchell heads up from New London, Conn. for a 4:30 p.m. matchup.
Becker comes to square off against Regis on September 26th at 2:00 p.m. as a part of Pride Fest, while the Pride host Lesley three days later on the 29th for the second time this season at 4:30 p.m. which wraps up the month of September for the team.
The Pride begin October with their last home matchup of the season as the squad hosts Bay Path on the first of the new month at 4:30 p.m. After their home stand, the Crimson and Gold wrap up their 2015 campaign with three straight away matches traveling to Newbury (10/3), Mitchell (10/7, 3:00 p.m.) and Becker (10/10, 1:00 p.m.) to end the year.
