Swim & Dive Program Places 12 on NEISDA Spring 2021 All-Academic Team
WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College swimming and diving program placed 12 student-athletes, eight women and four men, on the Spring 2021 All-Academic Team sponsored by the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA), announced Wednesday by the coaches' organization.
In order for a swimmer or diver to be selected to the All-Academic Team, they must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher. In total, 195 student-athletes from 16 different schools made the NEISDA Spring 2021 All-Academic Team.
Recent graduate Thalia Bowie (Lexington, Mass.) and rising seniors Julia Burke (North Andover, Mass.) and Alexa Lancisi (Milford, Mass.) each picked up their sixth NEISDA All-Academic selection. Kyleigh Boatwright (Roseville, Calif.) and Mallytza Ibarra Davila (Yuma, Ariz.), also entering their senior years in 2021-22, collected their fourth career All-Academic honors.
Having completed their first year within the program, Meaghan Aucoin (Raynham, Mass.), Megan Miller (Quincy, Mass.), and Cashman Murphy (Westwood, Mass.) followed their Fall 2020 selection with a spot on the Spring 2021 All-Academic Team. Regis College is one of 10 women's programs with at least eight representatives on the squad.
On the men's side, rising senior Brendan Pike (Weymouth, Mass.) earned his third career All-Academic selection, while recent graduate Noah Toumayan-Miller (Natick, Mass.) and rising junior Luke Jubinville (Fall River, Mass.) picked up their second NEISDA All-Academic award. Robert Wood (Cathedral City, Calif.), also entering his junior year, was selected to the NEISDA All-Academic Team for the first time in his career.
Founded in 1920, the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) is a coach-run association made up of 20 NCAA Division III member institutions from six conferences in New England.
