Santiago Earns Regional Recognition After Standout Season
WESTON, Mass. — After a standout sophomore season, Sienna Santiago (Brewster, N.Y.) has earned regional recognition with a spot on the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third Team, marking the first regional honor of her collegiate career.
Santiago spearheaded the Pride's attack, leading the team with nine goals, five assists, and 23 total points. She notched three multi-goal performances - including her first collegiate hat trick in a dominant 10-0 win over Mitchell - and added two more assists to her tally from last season. Santiago finished among the GNAC's top 10 in goals, points, and game-winners, recording three decisive tallies. By season's end, she had climbed into the program record books, sitting tied for eighth all-time in points (44) and tenth in goals (18).
She is one of seven GNAC student-athletes to earn regional honors this season, joined by four fellow conference competitors on the third team, while two Emmanuel College standouts earned spots on the first and second teams.
Santiago's honor marks the sixth regional award earned under head coach Alex Vokes Macpherson.
