PRIDE ADDS NINE TO WOMEN'S SOCCER PROGRAM
The Regis College women's soccer team is excited to welcome nine new players to the program. Head Coach Liz Conant believes that the incoming freshmen and transfer students will bring additional talent, experience, depth and competitiveness to the women’s soccer team.
WESTON, Mass. - The Regis College women's soccer team is excited to welcome nine new players to the program. Head Coach Liz Conant believes that the incoming freshmen and transfer students will bring additional talent, experience, depth and competitiveness to the women's soccer team.
Devinne Aquadro is a defender/midfielder and comes to Regis College from Sturbridge, Mass. Devinne attended Tantasqua Regional High School, played three years of varsity soccer, and was team captain her senior season. As the recipient of the Coaches Award her senior year, Devinne was recognized for her strong play on the pitch as well as her leadership qualities. She was named a Southern Worcester Country League All-Star both her junior and senior years. In addition to playing for her high school, Devinne also played premier league soccer for the New England Futbol Club.
Rachel Gagnon is a goalkeeper from Ashford, Conn. and attended Edwin O. Smith High School in Storrs, Conn. Rachel has over eight years of goalkeeping experience and was the starting goalie for her high school team and for her club team, the Simmons Golden Eagles. She received the Coaches Award for her high school team in both her junior and senior year. Rachel intends to major in Education at Regis College.
Marissa Magarian is a defender from Goffstown, N.H. Marissa played on the JV, then varsity soccer team at Goffstown Area High School. She is planning to play both soccer and softball at Regis College and will major in Sports Management.
Roxy Raiola is a defender/midfielder who is coming to Regis College from Guilford, Conn. Roxy attended Sacred Heart Academy and also played for the Soccer Club of Guilford Girls' Premier team. Roxy is interested in medicine and will major in Nursing while at Regis College.
Joana Rosa is a midfielder from Boston, Mass. and attended Madison Park High School. Joana has played soccer for more than seven years for both her school and FC Batuku. At Madison Park, she was the girls' soccer team captain her junior and senior seasons. Joana is planning to major in Nursing at Regis College.
Samantha Salamone comes to Regis College from Milford, Mass. Sam played both soccer and lacrosse at Milford High School. She has been playing soccer since she was five years old, and played two years of JV and two years of Varsity in high school. Sam was named a Mid Wach A All-Star her senior year at Milford High. She was also selected by her teammates and coaches senior year as the Unsung Hero and Most Dedicated. Sam coached both boys and girls (ages 8-10) youth soccer teams during high school. Sam intends to continue playing both soccer and lacrosse at Regis College and will major in Nursing.
Shannon Simonelli is a midfielder from Providence, R.I. and is transferring to Regis College. She graduated from Classical High School, where she played four years of varsity soccer, was twice named 1st team All-Division, and was a team captain. Shannon also played club ball for the Rhode Island Rays and the Shockwave. Shannon intends to major in Education at Regis College.
Audessey Williams-Talbert is from Springfield, Mass. and graduated from SABIS International Charter School. She has been involved with the sport of soccer since she was five years old, including playing for her school, at camps and clinics, and officiating youth soccer as a certified referee. Audessey is passionate about medicine and intends to major in Medical Radiography.
Rachel Wood is a defender from Manchester, N.H. and attended Manchester Central High School. Rachel played junior varsity and varsity soccer for her high school. She also ran winter and spring track all four years. She intends to major in Elementary Education at Regis College.
