Zancan Earns Fifth NEWBA Honor of the Season
WESTON, Mass. – Regis College women's basketball standout Madi Zancan was named to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) second team honor roll for the fifth time this season following another dominant performance in conference play.
Zancan averaged 27.0 points per game across two conference contests, shooting an efficient 53.8 percent from the field (21-for-39) while going 12-for-18 from the free-throw line. She logged 33.0 minutes per game and filled the stat sheet on both ends of the floor.
The senior opened the week with a monster all-around performance against Emmanuel, finishing with 27 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and five steals. She followed that effort with another 27-point outing in an 83–81 Senior Day victory over New England College, adding seven rebounds and four assists to help secure the win.
Over the two games, Zancan averaged 9.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 3.5 steals per contest, continuing to cement herself as one of the conference's most complete players.
This marks Zancan's fifth NEWBA honor of the season, further highlighting her consistent excellence and leadership for the Pride.
Zancan and the Pride are back in action tomorrow, with a trip north to take on Colby-Sawyer with tipoff slated for 5:30 p.m.
