Zancan Earns Second NEWBA Honor of the Season
WESTON, Mass. — Regis College women's basketball senior Madi Zancan earned her second New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Weekly Honor this season, landing on the weekly honor roll second team following her standout performance on Saturday.
The senior forward notched her seventh double-double of the season with 24 points and 11 rebounds in Regis College's game against the University of Northwestern (Minn.). She shot an efficient 52.9 percent from the field (9-of-17) and 85.7 percent from the free-throw line (6-of-7) while logging 35 minutes. Zancan also contributed four offensive rebounds, two steals, and two blocks, making a strong impact on both ends of the court.
Zancan and the Pride return to action tomorrow with a 2 p.m. tipoff at Wellesley College.
