Regis College junior forward Amanda Hawkesworth (Abington, Mass.) has been named to the New England Women’s Basketball Association’s (NEWBA) Weekly Honor Roll it was announced on Monday afternoon.
WESTON, Mass. – Regis College junior forward Amanda Hawkesworth (Abington, Mass.) has been named to the New England Women's Basketball Association's (NEWBA) Weekly Honor Roll it was announced on Monday afternoon.
Hawkesworth averaged 17.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.7 steals per game this past week. She shot 64% from the field and converted 82% of her foul shots. Hawkesworth recorded her second double-double of the season against Mitchell when she tallied 16 points and came down with 11 rebounds. She also scored 20 points for the second time this season in the win against Daniel Webster on Saturday after making 5-of-9 (64%) from the hardwood and 10-of-13 (76.9%) from the charity stripe.
Regis returns to the hardwood on January 2nd, when they welcome Saint Joseph's (Maine) to campus for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off with the Monks.
