NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Regis (Mass.) softball team opened its 2017 season on Sunday night at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic.
Prior to the 5:30 p.m. first pitch, the team had a low key first full day in South Carolina. A trip to the store to stock the shelves of the hotel room preceded an afternoon off, where most of the team took to the beach for the first time of the spring, while others lounged at the pool.

The first pitch of the 2017 season came against Penn St.-Schuylkill down the road from the hotel at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex, but the Pride unfortunately fell short by a final score of 7-4.
The Pride returns to the field on Monday morning for two more games, facing Randolph College in game one and the University of Mary Washington in game two.
