REGIS TABBED SECOND IN NECC MEN’S VOLLEYBALL POLL
Fresh off their first winning season in program history, the Regis College men’s volleyball team was selected second in the New England Collegiate Conference Men’s Volleyball coaches poll, announced Monday.
NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Fresh off their first winning season in program history, the Regis College men's volleyball team was selected second in the New England Collegiate Conference Men's Volleyball coaches poll, it was announced Monday.
Last season, the Pride earned the No. 4 seed in the NECC Tournament after going 6-6 in the regular season. Sophomore Sean Bisnett (Oxnard, Calif.) will try and build on his 2014 NECC Rookie of the Year campaign after leading the team in kills (273) and digs (159), and ranking in the top three on the team in attack percentage (.264), aces (32), and blocks (23).
Two-time NECC Champion Endicott College grabbed six of a possible seven first place votes on the way to the top spot in the preseason poll. Following Regis in third was Newbury, who grabbed the final first place vote, with Daniel Webster, Southern Vermont, Elms, and Lesley rounding out the poll.
The Pride kicks off the 2015 season on January 28 when Regis travels to Lasell for a 6:00 p.m. matchup with the Lasers.
