Men's Track and Field Compete at Jim Sheehan Invite
FITCHBURG, Mass. -- The Regis track and field team traveled to Fitchburg, Massachusetts today to compete in the Jim Sheehan Invitational, hosted by Fitchburg State University, where they continued to build on their season-opening marks and times.
Inside the Numbers
- Justin Thuotte recorded a pair of top-five finishes in the jumps, placing third in the long jump with a mark of 6.50 meters and fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 13.14 meters.
- In the triple jump, Brady Elliott finished just outside the top ten in 11th place with a mark of 11.74 meters. Elliott also earned fourth place in the high jump with a clearance of 1.77 meters, ranking fourth in program history, while Joseph Doughty set a personal best in the event with a mark of 1.72 meters. On the track, Elliott also paced the Pride in the 200 with a personal best time of 24.29.
- In the discus, Brock Mcclain placed sixth with a throw of 38.39 meters, which stands as the second-best mark by a first-year athlete and fifth-best in program history.
- Michael Hatch had a strong day, earning personal bests in the 100m with a time of 12.70 and in the long jump with a mark of 5.43 meters.

The Pride will remain at home on Friday, April 10, for the annual Regis Spring Classic track meet, where they will also honor their seniors.
