Men's Track and Field Wraps Up Weekend at BU Terrier Classic
BOSTON, Mass. — The Regis men's indoor track and field team opened competition this morning at the Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University, where several student-athletes turned in personal bests.
Inside the Numbers
- Brian LaPorte shattered his personal best in the 800 meters, clocking a 2:04.82 - an improvement of 3.41 seconds. His performance ranks as the fourth-fastest in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) this season and the sixth-fastest in program history.
- In the 200 meters, Keith Halacy led the Pride with a personal-best time of 23.29. Yuery Monegro also set a personal record at 24.71, followed by teammates Brady Elliott (25.20) and DJ Marks (26.47). Elliott's race marked his first 200 of the season, while Marks registered a new personal best.
- Monegro also made his season debut in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing in 10.57. Halacy competed in the 60 meters for the first time this season as well, recording a time of 7.53.
