Regis Men's Track and Field Takes on Suffolk Ice Breaker
BRIGHTON, Mass. — The Regis College men's track and field team returned to action today at the Suffolk Ice Breaker held at The Track at New Balance, where Justin Thuotte continued to improve his indoor program record in the long jump, while his teammates added several new personal bests.
Inside the Numbers:
- Brian LaPorte set a new personal best in the 800 meters with a time of 2:08.23, placing just outside the top 10 in Regis indoor history.
- Justin Thuotte reset his own indoor long jump record from last weekend's Wesleyan Invitational with a leap of 6.84 meters, which was also good enough for first place on the afternoon and qualified the senior for New England Regionals. He also placed 14th overall in the weight throw (13.56 meters) and seventh in the triple jump (12.90 meters).
- In the triple jump, Brady Elliott recorded a mark of 11.74 meters, ranking fifth all-time in program history.

- Additional Field Personal Bests: Ed Power - Weight Throw (11.46 meters)
