The Regis College men’s and women’s tennis teams have been honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) with ITA All-Academic Team Awards, it was announced this weekend. The Pride also had three members of its women’s team, and four members of the men’s squad named as ITA Scholar Athletes.

REGIS TO CO-HOST ITA SUMMER CIRCUIT TOURNAMENT

Regis College and Wellesley College will be co-hosting an ITA Summer Circuit Tournament on Saturday, July 12, through Monday, July 14. This marks the first time that the ITA will host a tournament in the Boston metropolitan area after spending years in Vermont.

On Sunday May 4, the Regis College men's and women's tennis teams volunteered at the 46th annual Walk for Hunger, which promotes the goal of raising money for Project Bread so they can help feed struggling families and individuals in the city.

Just one day after helping lead their team to a second straight New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship, Regis College men's tennis players Michael Beluch (Lynn, Mass.) and Jeremy Morgenbesser (Bayport, N.Y.) have been named the NECC Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

For the third consecutive season, junior Regis College men’s tennis player Michael Beluch (Lynn, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference’s Player of the Year, it was announced on Monday morning by the league offices. Beluch helped lead the Pride (15-5) to their second-straight NECC Championship this past weekend.

Regis College improved to a perfect 8-0 in New England Collegiate Conference play with a 9-0 sweep of Lesley University on Monday afternoon. The Pride move to 11-5 overall with the win, while the Lynx fall to 0-9 and 0-7 in league games.
