Swim and Dive Pulls in Pair of Diver and Rookie of the Week Honors
WESTON, Mass. — For the second time this season, Michael Zammuto (Burlington, Mass.) and Christina Dupre-Honda (Brookline, Mass.) have been named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Divers of the Week following their performances on Friday night. Dupre-Honda also earned Rookie of the Week honors, joined by teammate Gavin Olsen (South Portland, Maine), marking the first conference award of his career.
In the 1-meter, 11-dive event, Zammuto claimed the win with a career-best score of 321.05 points, finishing 21.95 points ahead of his closest opponent. Dupre-Honda delivered an impressive showing in her first collegiate 11-dive, 1-meter competition, scoring 387.60 points to win by more than 30 points and move into fourth all-time in program history.
In the pool, Olsen opened the night with a dominant victory in the 1000 freestyle, finishing in 11:48.61- more than 50 seconds ahead of the field. He later added a pair of third-place finishes in the 50 free (25.32) and the 100 free (54.60), with his 100 free time marking a new personal best.
Regis Swim and Dive returns to action on Friday, December 5, for the opening day of the Regis Invitational, beginning at 6 p.m.
