WESTON, Mass. - For the third time this season, Regis (Mass.) men's swimming and diving senior Nick Rainville (Reading, Mass.) has been named the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association Swimmer of the Week. The announcement comes on the heels of Rainville receiving the same title from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference on Monday.
In a tri-meet versus Husson and Bridgewater State on Saturday, Rainville won a trio of events for the Pride. He finished first in the 100-yard butterfly (54.14) and 100-yard freestyle (49.44), and won the 200-yard free relay (1:35.81).
The men's and women's swimming & diving teams' regular seasons are both now in the books, and the Pride has two and a half weeks off until the start of the New England Championships, set to commence on February 15 at the University of Rhode Island.
