Solid Outing Lands Rainville GNAC Swimmer of the Week
After an excellent outing in the team’s first multi-team meet, freestyle swimmer Nick Rainville (Rainville, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Men’s Swimmer of the Week
WINTHROP, Mass. – After an excellent outing in the team’s first multi-team meet, freestyle swimmer Nick Rainville (Rainville, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s Men’s Swimmer of the Week, announced Monday by the league office.
Rainville had three outstanding individual performances to help his squad finish third at the Commonwealth Coast Conference Invitational on Saturday. In addition to winning the 50 (22.48) and 100 (50.22) freestyle races, he placed second in the 100 fly (53.96).
He also joined teammates Grant Kollien (Acton, Mass.), Joshua Unas (Santa Clarita, Calif.) and Paul Brennan (Rumford, R.I.) for a third-place finish in the 400 free relay (3:36.21).
The Pride next hit the pool on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Eastern Connecticut State. First races are set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
