Bio
Renato Capobianco has been head coach of the Regis men's soccer team since 2011, entering his 15th year at the helm of the program. Coach Capobianco also serves as the Director of Strength & Conditioning for Regis Athletics.

Prior to Regis
He served as the Boys Head Varsity Soccer Coach at Weston High School (Mass.) for 10 seasons, leading the team to the 2009 MIAA Division 3 State Championship. That same year, he was honored as the Boston Globe Coach of the Year.
From 1989 to 1994, he was the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Cuyamaca College (Calif.), guiding the program for five seasons. In 1991, he was named Pacific Coast Conference Coach of the Year.
He worked as Team Administrator for the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team from 1991 to 1994, managing team logistics and operations in the lead-up to the 1994 FIFA World Cup. During that time, he supported over 80 international matches across 24+ countries.
In 1995, he served as Deputy Competition Manager for the South Florida venue of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, overseeing soccer event operations and logistics.
His Major League Soccer (MLS) experience spans several roles from 1996 to 2001. He was an assistant coach with both the Tampa Bay Mutiny and New England Revolution, and later served as Director of Soccer for the San Jose Earthquakes and New England Revolution. He was also an assistant coach for the East Team in the 1996 MLS All-Star Game.
From 2002 to 2003, he worked as a Strength & Conditioning Coach at Harvard University, designing performance programs for multiple sports. He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (NSCA).
In the youth and club space, he has coached extensively. He is currently the U18 Boys Coach at Lexington United and a staff coach for the Massachusetts Olympic Development Program (ODP), where he has also served as the Head Coach for the U15 Boys team.
