LEICESTER, Mass. - Regis College defeated Becker College 1-0 in New England Collegiate Conference men's soccer action at Alumni Field. The win lifts the Pride record to 4-8-2 (2-2-1 NECC), while the Hawks remain winless at 0-13-1.
Regis scored the lone goal 5:03 into the contest when Renato Rosas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) blasted a penalty kick into the top right corner of the Hawks net for his second goal of the season.
Becker goalie Tim MacDonald (Holden, Mass.) made two saves in a losing effort. Regis netminder Stefan Todorovic (Los Angeles, Calif.) didn't face a shot on net, earning his second shutout of the season.
Regis will play a non-conference tilt at Eastern Nazarene College on Wednesday, October 16 at 4:00 p.m. Becker returns to the pitch on Tuesday, October 15 when they travel to Lesley University at 8:00 p.m.
