Men’s Lacrosse Set to Host Military Appreciation Night
WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's lacrosse team has joined with the Regis College Office of Veterans Affairs to host the inaugural Military Appreciation Night this Wednesday, April 13, when the Pride welcome Anna Maria College for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup starting at 7 p.m.
The Pride look forward to celebrating the men and women who have served their country in the military as well as recognizing those currently in one of the military branches. Veterans connected to the Regis community will be recognized before the announcement of the starting lineups and the playing of the United States National Anthem.
Fans attending Wednesday's match are asked to participate in a clothing drive benefitting the Boston Veteran Affairs office as it collects important necessities to support local veterans in need. Specifically, the VA is requesting socks, underwear, T-shirts, and personal hygiene products. All items collected will be directed to local veterans and their families. A limited number of special T-shirts will be given to those who donate to the clothing drive.
Everyone is welcome to come support not only the Regis College men's lacrosse team, but also the brave military veterans and current personnel serving this country. Roar Pride!
