RODRIGO NETS NECC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONORS

Freshman attack Nicky Rodrigo (Miami, Fla.) of the Regis College men's lacrosse team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week after helping the Pride to a 1-1 week to open the season.

WESTON, Mass. - Freshman attack Nicky Rodrigo (Miami, Fla.) of the Regis College men's lacrosse team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week after helping the Pride to a 1-1 week to open the season.

In his collegiate debut, Rodrigo recorded two goals and two assists in a 12-7 loss to Becker. The following day, the rookie scored five goals and notched two assists to help the Pride defeat Rivier, 11-6 for their first win of the season.

The Pride will be back in action this week as they travel to Texas to take on Southwestern (Tex.) on March 7 (8:00 p.m.) and Dallas on March 9 (1:00 p.m.).
