Weston, Mass.—The Regis College men’s lacrosse team is set to play Daniel Webster College Wednesday (Mar. 23) at the Regis College Athletic Fields.
The Pride enters the contest with an overall record of 1-0. The visiting Eagles will be competing in their first game of the season.
The Pride is led on offense by sophomore Brad Hastings
(Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield). Hastings leads the team with eight
points this season. Billy Stewart (West Roxbury,
Mass./Catholic Memorial) and John Basbas (Framingham,
Mass./Framingham) will help the Pride attack the net. Basbas and
Stewart were successful in the season opener tallying four goals
apiece and will look to continue this trend.
The Pride’s defense is led by Andrew Goldberg (Solebury,
PA/New Hope) and Frank Tammaro (Framingham, Mass./Plant City
High). The Pride will look to contain the Eagles offense by
locking off their shooters. Junior Andrew LaMacchia (Lynn,
Mass./St. Mary's) will look to contain the Eagles top midfielder
and improve on his face-off draw play. Breandon Crane
(Billerica, Mass./Arlington Catholic) and Tyler Beyor (Carthage,
N.Y./Carthage) will share time at the goalkeeper position for the
Pride.
The game will be played at the Regis College Athletic Field
and is set for a 4:00 p.m. start.
