How it Happened
NEC opened up game scoring with an early three from Josh Robie, but Regis settled in quickly behind Jamir Harvey and Aamyr Sullivan, keeping things tight through the opening minutes. The teams traded baskets for much of the half, with Robie and Ryan Cuvier providing consistent scoring for the Pilgrims while the Pride answered with strong inside finishes and timely threes. Midway through the half, New England used second-chance points and free throws to build a small cushion, but Regis responded with defensive pressure highlighted by steals from Tyrone Chinn and Devon Reid. Back-to-back threes from Fitzpatrick and Herbin, helped Regis close the half on a run and take a 35–28 lead into the break.
Regis came out of the locker room with energy, extending its lead early behind Harvey's effort on the glass. Aamyr Sullivan continued to pace the Pride offensively, while Jahkai Veal and Rob Elliott sparked momentum with timely buckets. New England College tried to respond with perimeter shooting from Mike Strazzeri, Josh Robie, and Jasen Stovall, trimming the deficit at moments, but Regis consistently answered highlighted by threes from Fitzpatrick, Raymond Johnson, and Elliott. Strong rebounding and steady execution down the stretch allowed Regis to maintain control throughout the half and close out a 74–68 victory.
