As a senior:
Vega is averaging 14.1 points per game...he tallied a season-high 24 points vs. St. Joseph's of Brooklyn (11/21/09)...also in that game, Vega was perfect from the free-throw line shooting 11 of 11...Vega totaled a season-high 11 rebounds vs. FDU-Fordham (1/2/10).

As a junior:
Played and started in all 24 games…second on the team in minutes played…shot 39 percent from the field…65 percent from the charity stripe…was second on the team with an average of five rebounds per game…dished out 27 assists…led the team with 19 blocks…contributed with 26 steals…was the third leading scorer with an average of 7.8 points per game overall and had a conference average of 9.2 points per game…Vega had a career and season-high in points and rebound against Eastern Nazarene College with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Also had a game-high 10 points against Gordon College and four rebounds…there were six other contests where Vega had the game-high in rebounds.

As a sophomore:
Vega started all 25 games during the 07-08 season…shot 42 percent from the field…shot 75 percent from the free throw line…was second on the team in rebounds averaging 6.1 rebounds per game…dished out 19 assists and had 16 steals…led the team with 14 blocks…was third leading scorer on the team averaging 10 points per game. Vega recorded game-high 14 points three times during the 07-08 season…one game he had career high in loss against Bard College with 16 points. He also had game-high in rebounds nine times during the season, one of them being 12 rebounds against conference foe New England College.

As a freshman:
Transfer year from Nichols College.

High School:
Vega played Basketball, cross country, football and baseball while at St. Rays…was a recipient of captain honors, all-class, all-division, and all-state honors.

Personal:
Jesse likes to listen to music, play videogames, eat food, and watch movies…His life goal is to play semi professional basketball…his favorite team are the Dallas Mavericks…favorite player is Dirk Nowitzki…his favorite food is Pizza…his favorite past time is playing 1 on 1 against his older brother…his favorite quote is “Never accept the expectations of other especially negative ones”.
