Laura Violette, who has been a member of the Regis athletics team since August 2015, serves as the Assistant Athletic Director, Compliance Coordinator and Senior Woman Administrator.
Part of Violette’s role is to support the welfare of Regis’ student-athletes and assist in the educational goals of our teams and programs, and works closely with the Regis Learning Commons and Student Support Services to ensure the academic success and retention of student-athletes. She also serves as an additional resource to aid student-athletes in acclimatizing to campus life and assisting the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment in implementing development programs as well as trainings that include Title IX Sexual Violence Education programming and compliance rules education.
In addition, Violette teaches a co-curricular course titled Peer and Captain Leadership for student-athletes who strive for leadership positions on campus and within their athletic programs. Along with student-athlete welfare and academics, Violette also has oversight of Division III compliance processes and education within the Department of Athletics.
Violette was the Game Operations Graduate Assistant for the Pride from 2012 to 2014, and then served as the Assistant to the Athletics Director at Becker College under the Division III Ethnic Minority and Women’s Grant from 2014 to 2015 prior to returning to Regis to serve in her current role.
A 2008 Eastern Connecticut State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport & Leisure Management, Violette earned her Master of Science degree in Organizational and Professional Communication from Regis in 2014. Violette was a four-year member of the women’s soccer team while at Eastern Connecticut State, earning three Little East Conference Championships.
