Building Confidence On and Off the Court: Dean Roecker Shares Lessons in Leadership on “The Lantern” Podcast
WESTON, Mass. — Recently, Dean of Athletics Pam Roecker returned to her alma mater, the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, where she was featured on The Lantern podcast, Episode 12, titled "Pam Roecker: Building Confidence On and Off the Court." In the episode, Roecker reflected on the lessons that shaped her journey from student-athlete to Dean of Athletics, while sharing advice she hopes today's students can learn early in their own paths.
While at UW–Green Bay, Roecker graduated cum laude and distinguished herself as a two-time team captain and 1,000-point scorer for the women's basketball program. She remains the Phoenix's all-time leader in single-game, single-season, and career assists. In 1983, she became the University's first female Academic All-American. Roecker was inducted into the UW–Green Bay Hall of Fame in 1995 and later into the Madison (Wis.) Sports Hall of Fame in the summer of 2023.
